Johns Hopkins University , MIND at Home Dementia Care Training, 6/1/2018 12:00:00 AM - 5/31/2021 12:00:00 AM, Maximizing Independence (MIND) at Home is a comprehensive, home-based care coordination intervention for people with Alzheimer disease (AD) or related dementias who live in the community and for their family caregivers. MIND at Home is designed to systematically assess and help address unmet needs that may be barriers to persons with dementia remaining in their home, while maintaining their health and wellbeing and that of their caregiver. Over the course of this seven-module program, we’ll introduce you to the Maximizing Independence at Home memory care coordination program--what is known as MIND at Home. You will learn what the program is, why it works, and how to use it. You will be offered an in-person training after you take this online course, to put these new skills into practice. You can use the in-person time to ask more questions, become more comfortable with the process, and gain real-world experience to hone your skills. Thank you for joining us for this course. We hope you find these training materials helpful in learning how to aid individuals and families coping with diagnosis and progression of dementia.
