In this 1-hour long project-based course, you will learn how to extract stock price data from public sources, build Japanese candlestick charts and customize them, interpret stock price charts and draw conclusions. This course runs on Coursera's hands-on project platform called Rhyme. On Rhyme, you do projects in a hands-on manner in your browser. You will get instant access to pre-configured cloud desktops containing all of the software and data you need for the project. Everything is already set up directly in your Internet browser so you can just focus on learning. For this project, you’ll get instant access to a cloud desktop with Google Chrome pre-installed. Prerequisites: In order to be successful in this project, you should be familiar with Google Sheets. You are also advised to have some familiarity with the capital markets. Notes: - You will be able to access the cloud desktop 5 times. However, you will be able to access instructions videos as many times as you want. - This course works best for learners who are based in the North America region.   • Building Candlestick Charts with Google Sheets
    • Learners will be able to create beautiful japanese candlestick charts using Google Sheets. Japanese candlestick charts are a powerful tool and one of the most popular types of graphs you will see in technical analysis of the stock market. Knowing how to build them from scratch will allow you to analyse the price movements of the stock and develop your abilities to see trends. You will also learn how to look up stock price data in different sources, how to plot different prediction lines and corridors on a candlestick chart, and how to style it in different ways.
