This short course will provide an introductory, hands-on introduction to statistics used in educational research and evaluation. Participants will learn statistical concepts, principles, and procedures by building Excel spreadsheets from scratch in a guided learning approach using very short video-based tutorials.

  • This course was excellent. The professor obviously put a lot of time and effort into it and I was grateful to be able to learn so much so quickly. It's an extremely quick curve from the easy first module to the content of the final module, but choices had to be made about what should be included to make it worthwhile. I was appreciative of his choices.

    Reading another review, I realised that an extra feature could be an "activity area" where there are extra problems and the students are encouraged to apply the course content by themselves. That other reviewer could have thought of how to improve the course (as is requested and welcomed by the professor) rather than just knocking it anonymously as they did here..
