I found the practical exercises to be incredibly useful to get into the mindset of someone who needs accessibility to be in place just to be able to use a website. It really helped drive home the need for these rules and regulations.

The tests however were a mixed bag of facts and, what read like, opinion based questions "Which is the most important....." which are not conducive to a multiple choice test. It definitely led to a number of people who have taken the course to be frustrated with the scoring.

Overall a great course that really helped me to understand the area but some of the multi choice questions could be re-worded to make sure they remove any personal opinion in how the questions are asked.

Content provides a good introduction before tipping a big toe into WCAG site, but the quizzes require a very deep dive beyond what is written in the course content. Recommended reading is required if you want to pass this course. It’s a lot of information to expect someone new to WCAG to read/process/understand in 3-5 hours a week on their own. I would expect for an introduction course to have basic/thorough questions but not requiring advanced levels of familiarity working with WCAG. Even experts will tell you - you learn WCAG with real world practice not by memorizing and citing principles.

The course content was great--very thorough and detailed. It was a bit too intensive for a four-week delivery though, and the actual classwork and homework portion ended up taking twice as much time as we were advised.

It is a deep dive into WCAG 2.1 and 2.0 with concrete examples to help reduce the learning curve.

Quizzes and comparisons of compliant vs. non-compliant versions of the same example deepen the understanding of the success criteria and effectively guide the practical application of WCAG 2.0.

Introduction to various toolkit addressing different accessibility needs makes the practical application less daunting for a beginner.

Excellent course

I think the course was very helpful, one thing i would suggest is to break up some of the units as they are very long. I had a difficult time with the quizzes as i though there were a lot of trick questions and very detail specific questions. Also some of the content was really driven towards developers which can be difficult even if you are an web admin going through this course.

This was a really great course, instructors did a good job with system messaging to ensure all key components were addressed and questions were answered.

I really liked the hands-on activities and introduction to the accessibility software. The badge was a great motivator too! All and all a very effective course.

It was a an accessible introduction to accessibility. I think it was manageable because I have experience with HTML and CSS. I think the course content seemed a bit heavier for week 4.
