A practical course in the special problems encountered in the interior design profession including preparation of business documents, forms of business ownership and corporate organizations, marketing and advertising, purchasing and ordering products, client relationships, ethics, methods of compensation, employee/employer relationships, benefits, business insurance, starting a new business, and branding. Provides a survey of the interdisciplinary design professions and their impact on global culture and human behavior. Students will also prepare a professional resume and portfolio for career advancement.
