Advanced Knife Skills class is for the home cook who wants to improve their accuracy and precision.
In this class, you will learn and practice more intricate cuts, such as:
- julienne
- brunoise/fine brunoise
- bias
- supréme
- chiffonade
- rondelles
- parisiennes
Suggested Menu (to use up what you cut):
- Suprémed Citrus and Herb Salad with Citrus Vinaigrette
- Chickpea Noodle Soup
What you need:
- cutting board
- knife
- bench scraper, recommended
- peeler
- apples
- herbs
- citrus fruit
- 1-2 pounds seasonal fruit
- additional ingredients for salad, optional (recipe will be provided)
- ingredients for charoset, optional (recipe will be provided)
- Knife Skills for Beginners is recommended, but not required.
- Participants should be able to handle a knife properly and have extensive daily experience with consistent and even basic cuts, like chopping, slicing and dicing.
