This course is designed to help you take your English to the advanced level and complete the work you started in the upper-intermediate course. - Let me fill you in...
- This module reintroduces you to the various characters in our story and enables you to catch up on where they are now. By the end of this week you will also be able to describe problems and dilemmas and give advice on how to solve them.
- A problem shared
- By the end of this module, you will be able to express and discuss choices and preferences in the context of working life, and you will have the lexis and grammar to discuss the topics of crime and punishment, media and journalism. You will also learn how to do an online crime report, and investigate the meaning and implications of intercultural competence.
- Going separate ways
- This module will help you deepen your understanding of verb patterns, including infinitives, gerunds, and verbs that change meaning with different patterns. It will also broaden your vocabulary on mental health, emotions, and idiomatic expressions related to relationships.
- It's all in the planning
- By the end of this module, you’ll learn to use quantifiers and articles with precision. Strengthen your ability to discuss travel, tourism, and unique holiday experiences, while expanding your understanding of associated language and expressions.
- Embracing change
- This module will help you to understand the use of "used to" and "would" to talk about the past. It will also explore vocabulary to express culture, interests, and leisure activities. Practice language to navigate personal changes and envision your ideal life.
- Moving on
- This module explains how to apply modal verbs of obligation in professional settings. It will help you practice discussing new living and working experiences abroad. You’ll also learn expressions for navigating rules, regulations, and diverse workplace cultures.
