In this course, you will develop your English conversational skills that you can use to build your personal and professional relationships. Learning activities in this course will take place on Voxy, an engaging language learning platform that automatically adapts to your current level and your performance across reading, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary skills so that every lesson is optimized for rapid improvement.
Each week is made up of engaging, short, task-based lessons that can be done anywhere, anytime. Lessons include content from the real world, so you will learn from dozens of real conversations about a variety of common topics that come up when socializing with others – giving opinions, making small talk, and inviting people out. By the end of the course, you will feel confident and fluent while socializing in English in almost any situation.

- Course Introduction & Voxy Orientation
- This week, you will learn about this course and understand how to use Voxy's innovative platform.
- Invitations
- This week, you will learn how to make and respond to different types of invitations. You'll also learn ways to see who's available for or interested in doing certain plans and activities.
- Giving Opinions
- This week, you will learn how to discuss how you feel about different things, from reviews of your holiday to your least favorite season, as well as how to express agreement and disagreement.
- Making Conversation
- This week, you will learn how to chat to people about things that are happening in the world and what you have been up to lately. You'll also see some tips for how to make effective small talk and examples of how to start conversations with coworkers.
- Socializing
- This week, you'll be stepping outside of work and learning about socializing in person and online. You'll learn how to talk about your social life, and you'll explore ways in which you can grow your social circle.
- Final Tasks: Social Interactions
- This week, you will use everything you learned to engage in social interactions both in written and spoken form.
