COVID-19 and the primary pediatric care perspective. 
Discussed influenza in the pediatric population. Discussed barriers to efficient response including IPC protocols, knowledge of pathogen, diagnostic testing and PPE and administrative hurdles. Discussed IDSA guidelines and use in practice. Primary care Pediatric perspectives from primary care and lessons learned from FQHC. Established telemedicine for wellness, vaccinations and community advocacy. Also discussed strategies to provide ongoing health maintenance, including: Identify and reach out to patients who have delayed vaccinations or missed WCC, prioritize and reassure families of safety of health visits and consider outreach to other vulnerable pediatric populations.
