Overview of Epidemiology of Pediatric COVID-19, What we know about respiratory versus aerosol transmission, What we know about masks, Transmission in day care centers, Transmission in households. Discussed state data report, including: cumulative number of child COVID-19 cases. No consensus on when sports may begin. Spent most of the time talking about scientific overview by CDC.  SARS-CoV-2 and potential airborne transmission. The principal mode of SARS-C0V-2 infection is through exposure to infectious respiratory droplets, not through aerosols, per se. Also discussed contact/droplet/airborne transmission. Transmission takes place through three principle modes, including: contact transmission, droplet transmission and airborne transmission. Presenter also shared the special circumstances when airborne transmission may occur. She also shared prevention strategies for COVID-19 through airborne transmission, including social distancing and masks, etc. Summarized the data on COVID-19 in day care centers.
