First Responder Trauma & Emergency Care Program

via EdCast

Overview

Welcome to the First Responder Trauma and Emergency Care Program! Trauma is one of the world’s leading causes of preventable death, particularly in developing countries. Our goal with this course is to help YOU join a new generation of medical first responders who can help improve emergency conditions of patients BEFORE they get to the hospital, which could save millions of lives per year.

The scope of this online course is to give you the knowledge needed to make a difference in an emergency trauma situation—all at your own learning pace. This knowledge is intended to be supplemented by a 2-day hands-on workshop, which we are gradually making available across the world. Thanks, and we hope you enjoy this learning experience!

The course is ok. There is no link to it in the go to class button. You can go directly to Edcast and search it, it comes up, however, the course was developed in 2014 and seems to be inactive, once completed there is no certificate. But if you just wanted to know what the basics are, it's okay for that.

Its been a very helpfull lesson first to learn and second to provide your knowledge to someone who needs help or to someone who needs knowledge. The lessons are very good with excellent videos. But i want to ask why the final exam test has four same questions and are about population of Brasil Germany and Indonesia? Has anythink to do with trauma? I suppose no...

Whoever made this course gave up halfway through. The later modules' question banks still include the template text that explain how to fill in the question text. Every question is the same, asking you about the largest nation by population. Needless to say, that is irrelevant to trauma care.
