I have enjoyed this class very much. I took the other 2 Spanish courses and I am able to understand so much more of the language. However, I felt as though the 2nd course ended rather abruptly and it took a bit of time to get into the 3rd one. By taking these courses, I was introduced to DUO. I use it daily on either the computer or phone. Very easy to download. I give thumbs up for all of the classes !!

La semana pasada yo he trabajado en Almussafes acerca de Valencia, por la primera vez en Espana... y yo he hablado en espanol, yo creo suficiente..

Muchas gracias a Ana y a todos lo profesores.

I learned alot during this course. The book work was great way to introduce rules of the language and spelling to me. I feel like some words should be introduced with the rules on how to use them and what they mean before using them. Overall, I dont have any/many complaints. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. This is how you make the world a better place.

I really enjoyed this online course because of clear explanations, numerous exercises, videos - and general course flow. I have been studying Spanish in Prague for four months and really needed to revise and practice what I have learnt in the classroom. This course reinforced what I kind of knew - and gave me more confidence in the classroom.

Curso muy entretenido y he aprendido cosas muy interesantes

Gracias por todos ,

I really appreciated the fact the repetition of the dialogs helped us to remember well the words and the conjugation of the verbs

Once again I want to thank Edx and the University of Valencia for this opportunity to learn .

'Spanish 3: Getting there' is very well structured, with many helpful tools for beginners. The only thing is that when completing the course the learner should receive their certificate immediately and in my case that didn't happen. The button wasn't working properly. So there's still room for improvement.

Very good course for multiple reasons : the videos to improve listening and comprehension, the grammar explained by bits followed by examples and evaluated exercises. It beats learning from only a book with completed exercises. Highly recommended !

As someone who grew up learning Spanish at a Spanish-immersion elementary school, and at home with my mother who is from Mexico, I really wanted to find a course that helped me not so much with basic vocabulary, but with actual sentence structure and grammar, and I think this course definitely provided that. It was nice to have writing, reading, and listening opportunities as that helped the course to be more well rounded. I would definitely recommend this course to those who are looking to further their Spanish grammar skills as though this course does not cover all aspects of grammar, it does offer a concise and helpful basic overview.

This course has been very interesting. It helped me learn Spanish with an innovative and useful method! I recommend this course to all people who want to learn without getting bored. In particular, I started Spanish's lessons because I wanted to learn Spanish, as it has always fascinated me and I found this course which meets all the requirements I was looking for! It has been a clear and easily accessible course and I learnt by playing! Teachers have been fantastic with their useful videos to improve Spanish’s grammar! Great job! Thak you so much! Sorry for the mistakes, I am an italian girl!

Much of the first half of the course repeats grammar and exercises from Basic Spanish 2, which I found a bit boring - especially since even most of the dialogues were exactly the same. The second half is much better in my opinion, I got to learn some new grammar and vocabulary and there are some rather challenging dialogues and videos. It took me a while to master those, but the course gives you all the information you need - plus a little ego boost in the end when you finally do understand ;) I can recommend the course, just don't be put off by the first rather repetitive half!

I did the 3 courses this one being the last one and I have learned quite a lot.

Most of the explanations were good though I am a little confused about the punctuation, which was never mentioned in any lesson.

That is I do not understand why sometime you use a capital letter before and after a question mark and why at times you don't.

Also in the last part of Course no.3 there was no revision part which is a pity because very useful.

All in all it is a course wroth taking if you are a beginner and want to learn Spanish.

Many thanks!

This was very helpful, clear and easy to learn. I enjoyed to read and work on that course. Though, course is cut in different parts, so it is simple to learn piece by piece, a little every time I was available. Videos, pictures and texts are well inspired, like in real life. We learn useful langage with common words, easily way to ask or describe things. Good for travelers but also to get improved and be able to start to speak with people. I wish an upper level existed to keep going improving . Thank you for those classes

I started learning Spanish almost three months ago and this course was my beginning. I could have finish all these sessions faster but I finished one of it and did side works from different applications and I also took some time to practice with native Spanish language speakers. I went step by step and slowly, so today I finished the last part of Basic Spanish Course and I am glad to find this course.

It has really important points for us to learn and I appriciate all the people's effort who created that occurence.

I would like to say that this class was very informative and well covered the terms and grammatical curriculum that needs to be covered. It didn't skip over the hard stuff (present perfect past tense, preterito perfecto, all the conjugations, new vocabulary) but it did keep it simple. The class was well done and all the instructors gave a lot to the course you could tell. The conversations between instructors were fun and the people conveyed the information well. The class overall was a joy to take. Thank you.

I highly recommend this course!!

I took all 3 Basic Spanish courses and I was a beginner who cannot even read or speak any Spanish.

After taking all courses, I slowly can hear people's conversation, I can type or read the conversations and talk to Spanish speakers. I wish I can keep continue this courses! If you are a total beginner, start from the Basic Spanish 1 and by the end of 3rd one, you will no longer be a beginner! It is well designed for starters!! I found it is right level for all beginners!

O curso poderia promover mais exercícios de escrita e de pronúncia, entretanto eu achei o curso muito bom. Me sinto mais confiante agora em espanhol, além disso achei o curso com uma cronologia bem coerente e bem dinâmico. Apesar de não ser um curso muito longo, é um curso que eu acho que qualquer pessoa pode tirar bastante proveito do mesmo. Já em relação ao custo do teste (com certificado) achei o valor bem "salgado", contudo pode ser um bom investimento para quem puder pagar.

I took the free course because I have learnt Spanish before and this was a refresher for me. It was really very helpful and the content is excellent! Thanks you for such a well designed course.

I will attempt to translate my review into Spanish as well:

Estudié el curso gratis porque he aprendido español antes y este curso estuvio un repaso por me. Fue muy útil y el contenido es excelente. Gracias por un curso tan bien diseñado!

This course allowed me to start studying Spanish from scratch during this period of quarantine. It is a well-structured course: first of all the prof explains you the rules of certain grammatical elements ( for example verbs, adjectives, pronouns, male/female,singular/plural), then there are some short dialogues and towards the end you can practise those rules by completing some exercises.

This course was a great way to catch up on Spanish and learn the things I didn't know. I speak Spanish fluently well close to fluently and taking this course reinforced what I did know, gave me new vocabulary to use and taught me new things grammatically that I had never known. The fact that this class is free is awesome and I really appreciate all the work you put into it for us.

John C
by John completed this course, spending 8 hours a week on it and found the course difficulty to be medium.
I would highly recommend this course to all beginning Spanish-language students. All three basic courses were very well done with all the content at a very high standard.

I found the dialogue exercises to be especially helpful. The ability to repeat (several times) the work on those aspects one finds difficult is very helpful to making progress.

The professors involved are impressive.
