This four-week course will take you into the dynamic and varied world of event organisation, giving you all the tools you need to plan, organise, and execute events.

Develop your practical event management skills

On this course, you’ll develop the necessary skills needed for every step of the event management process, from client meetings and planning to budgets and coordinating different suppliers.

You’ll also learn how to design an event control board, allowing you to manage all of your event’s information and helping you ensure your proposed results.

Discover the different types of events and how they vary from each other

There are many different types of events, each with its own requirements and best practices. In order to keep a client happy and make sure the event is successful, you need to understand each type of event and how to organise them.

You’ll delve into the basics of each event type and the essential needs of an event depending on whether they are social, business, or cultural events.

Explore strategies to approach event communication, press, and publicity

Communicating everything you need to for an event can be a daunting challenge. Between press, publicity, and general comms, there’s a lot to balance.

You’ll look at the common challenges found in event communication before learning how to formulate communication strategies that plan for and overcome these obstacles.

This course is designed for anyone with an interest in the tourism and hospitality sector. It will be especially useful to university students currently studying hospitality or for any professionals in the industry.
