Learn how to handle data responsibly

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is designed to balance the need for businesses’ and customers’ data information to flow freely, and the need to protect the rights of the individual.

As a professional you need to be aware of the legal requirements of the GDPR so you can ensure your organisation is compliant.

On this course you will get a thorough introduction to GDPR so you can grow your understanding of protecting personal data and be able to handle data in the digital economy appropriately.

This course is for anyone handling customer data, whether you work with customers in person, over the phone, or through digital or paper correspondence. You don’t need any previous experience.

If you are an employer, you can invite your staff to this course, with the ability to track their progress and evidence completion with digital and downloadable certificates.

A handy beginner course for those who need to know about GDPR. Explains why many of the provisions are there and includes some examples of how data breaches can occur either by mistake or by blatantly ignoring regulations. All material except the final quiz was available for free.

I found the course to be quite supervicial. There was much text, little video and not much interaction. You where asked to write comments on the material, but there was no interaction. I learned as much as expected from reading an introduction chapter or article.

Explains the concepts in GDPR more clearly than another online course I took. Some exercises require rather more memorising of details than I expected. Generally a good introduction to essential ideas in GDPR.
