Designing for Mixed Reality

Architecture Theatre in their many forms have explored narrative design in a spatial context. In this course we will look at what we can learn from these disciplines as they relate to the current state of mixed reality. We will talk to award winning mixed reality creators about how they have had to adjust and evolve to create for mixed reality.


Session 1: Basic Tools, And Creating A Document 
This session covers the basic tools, and creating a simple page. Tools: Arrow and Direct selection. Adding text via the Type tool. Line tool, pencil, fill, erase, smoothing functions. Creating a new document, columns, edges, etc. Importing, sizing, scaling, cropping images. Session 2: More Tools And Advanced Features 
This session covers more tools, and creating more complex pages. Tools: Shapes, rotate, scale, shear, gradient. Choosing/adding fonts. Colors and swatches. Linking objects and frames. Style sheets. Session 3: Creating Complex Page Layouts And Exporting Projects 
This session covers creating complete posters, flyers, etc. Also printing, exporting, and Formatting and exporting for web. Session 4: Creating Multi-Page Layouts And Projects 
Creating magazines or books (booklet). Pages panel, master page. Designing and exporting for e-book and tablet use.
