Spent way too much time trying to just launch the first lab IDE project (From your IDE terminal, launch a mongod instance that listens for connections on port 27000). The forums were not very clear either on that section, as it mostly were students posting the same problems, with the answer of 'go back to the IDE training', which offered very little help. Would not recommend, as I am struggling with the very first part of M103.

    Hi:
No, I did not understand how the shell approach, in contrast to Compass, lets me connect to the DB.

Though I downloaded and installed Virtual Box, then Vagrant, wrote to Discussion Group, I could not connect
Could this be more explicit. I would be pleased to include know how to connect as I'm well tooled aready to operate the MongoDB database.

Spend much more time on vagrant, virtual box... than on mongodb itself.
Wasted time. Endless Error: couldn't connect to server 127.0.0.1:27000...

I agree with those, who wrote that it is very hard and no help available. I am struggling on the first exercise of loading config file. I spent a lot of time, and finally gave up.
