Overview

Explore how we can offer more than work itself

The world in which we live is constantly changing, affecting the way in which organisations manage employee relations, motivation and engagement.

This course explores these changes in depth and assesses what they may mean for teams, groups and the employment relationship, as well as the impact they may have on employee engagement and motivation.

You’ll also reflect on methods that may help organisations to sustain employee motivation and engagement in the future.

This course is for people who wish to discover the importance of employment relationships and the importance motivation and engagement has in the workplace.

  • So far so good. But I do believe the discussion is too heavy from the eye of employer. Unless I am running a business, that may not be so useful to me.

In addition, too much articles and too few videos on week 2.

Most of the contents of week 2 are rooted in self-determination theory. I think some credit should be given but nothing has mentioned. Or at least introduce the book Drive by Daniel Pink.

As a normal person and working as employee, I am more interested on how to improve my motivation. The course may gives some insights but no concrete HOW is given.
