I think this is an amazing course, so well researched and presented and designed to meet the needs of such a wide range of interested people, it it pitched at the right level to suit most students, i.e people with Parkinson's, family, health professionals etc., wanting to gain more knowledge and evidence based information about all aspects of the disease. I also think that the incredible range of consumers and health professionals from all around the world who have contributed to this course has made it such an enlightening and credible experience. It is also an excellent platform to launch into more advanced study in the area of Parkinson's disease to support health workers.

This course has taught me so much about how well it is possible to live with Parkinson's. It is not the horror-filled sentence it once was and so much wonderful progress has been made in the area of varied treatments tailored for the individual needs of each person and the holistic approach of the patient centred team.
It has changed my mindset, so I feel I can now face the future more positively if that is my lot or that of someone close to me.
I am so grateful for the dedication and generosity of the people who have created this MOOC and can't recommend it highly enough to everyone.

Completing Parkinson’s MOOC challenges and dispels preconceived ideas about the illness in several ways. Importantly it is not an “old persons” illness it has an “early onset” group who learn that a good quality of life with medication, healthy diet, exercise to name a few aids can be attained. Those living with Parkinson’s are helped by the enormous amount of research that continues and the positive results coming from such. It educates those not experiencing the illness on ways of connecting with and including those with Parkinson’s.

Incredible course. I have Parkinson’s and especially liked the section on medications and the different stages of Parkinson’s. This course is brave and talks about what happens in later stages and even the dying part. But you can skip over that part if you want to. But I didn’t want to and just having knowledge about it helps me feel calmer and inspired to live as well as possible. It’s good to see subjects are covered that are hard to find in other courses

I want to thank MOOC, University of Tasmania, Professor Jane Alty andMs. Michele Callisaya and all the people who are involve in this project.
I really appreciate what I have learned and discovered that I might have Parkinson's myself. Hopefully I could find a neurologist who is very much aware of MOOC.
I have shared your MOOC website with one of my friends and I will share it to others too.
    Thank you so much.

As a person who has had PD for nearly 21 years I felt I had a good understanding of the causes and effects of the condition but this course reinforced much of my knowledge but also updated my information on recent developments in treatment and research. It was also beneficial just hearing from others with PD.
It made me feel encouraged to continue to aim high and live well.

I really like learning here, it really helps me to stay with knowledge, accurate and best info ..here I can learn a lot about the life of a person and a Parkinson's patient. and we need to give guidance to them so that they continue to go far and continue to be successful in their lives, what I see from the point of view of learning here is very helpful for me to dare to associate with Parkinson's patients

This course has been quite impactful and insightful. It exposed the needed information that would help anyone handle the disease, whether as a carrier or a caregiver. It emphasized the need for people to note that Parkinson can be managed effectively. You can still work or have a job as a carrier if you choose to work. Parkison is not death sentence; it can be managed so people can live a normal life.
