Overview

Loose Watercolor: Fruits and Vegetable

Learn to paint vibrant fruits and vegetables in loose watercolor style and create building blocks for your food illustration collection.

Have you found yourself admiring the food and recipe illustrations with loosely painted watercolor elements? Do you wish you could also loosen up your style and paint food illustration? If your answer is yes then you are at the right stepping stone where I’ll share with you my process of painting a variety of watercolor fruits and vegetables with juicy colors and easy brushstrokes.

Hi, I’m Garima Srivastava , an artist and illustrator living in The Netherlands. I’ve been painting with loose watercolors for a while and I love capturing the world around me with simple brush strokes and vibrant colors.

I’ve always enjoyed loosely painting fruits and vegetables and love to use them for various personal and professional projects.

Your favorite smoothie recipe illustration, a seasonal party invite, fruit-themed patterns & designs or something to decorate your dining area walls - these are just a few of many uses you can get out of what you will learn in this class.

This class is suitable for all skill levels: while beginners with watercolors will learn important techniques likes painting wet on wet, controlling water, lifting color and texture techniques, experienced ones will enjoy the techniques to loosen up their style.

We’ll start the class with an overview of sample projects, I’ll show you supplies and my palette setup followed by watercolor concepts and technique lessons.

After these lessons the class has been divided into real-time individual fruits and vegetables lessons that you can learn at your own pace.

As the project for this class you can decide to paint a beautiful illustration with me featuring loosely painted juicy tomatoes or one of the other sample projects I’ll share in this class.

I hope you are excited to loosen up and paint some of your favorite fruits and vegetables with me. See you in the class!!
