Worldwide, chronic hepatitis B and C are the leading courses of liver cancer, which is largely preventable with hepatitis B vaccination and proper screening and management of chronic hepatitis B and C infections.
KNOW HBV / HCV is an open-access online course for health care practitioners who work in primary health care settings. The course is designed to educate health professionals about types of viral hepatitis, its transmission routes, prevention and vaccination of hepatitis B, and help them to develop skills to effectively prevent, diagnose and manage patients with chronic hepatitis B and C infection. We believe that building knowledge and skills of health professionals in hepatitis B and C prevention and control can improve hepatitis B vaccination coverage, reduce hepatitis B and C infection and liver cancer.
KNOW HBV / HCV features the most update data and technical guidelines from World Health Organization (WHO) and the Vietnam Ministry of Health. The training is developed by the Asian Liver Center at Stanford University in partnership with General Department of Preventive Medicine, Ministry of Health of Vietnam.
