Introduction of Forensic Science & Police Science. This course is based on UGC Curriculum and presented, as a two credit elective course. The objective of this course is to make the participant familiar to the world of forensic science and police science. Let’s have a short overview of this course: the entire course has been divided in two parts. The first part deals with forensic science and its allied services whereas the second will sail you through police organization. So, first of all, we will understand the meaning & definition of forensic science, how forensic science laboratories works in India, the history and its development in India, branches of forensic science, need of forensic science, and objectives of forensic science. It will also include some basic principles of forensic science such as principle of exchange, principle of probability, principle of individuality etc. Moreover, this course will discuss the set up and functioning of state and central forensic science laboratory.
