The problem is that the professors seem to talk to themselves. They throw many new concepts in a two minutes videos without explanation. This course is only good if you have the text book by Norvig and Russel. There you will find the desired details. The course sounds more like slides for introducing a textbook than a real course to introduce the concepts. Very confusing and discouraging to start artificial intelligence in that way.
  • This is one of the earliest online courses created, and its age shows. It is done using pen and paper example held to the camera, which can be hard to follow at times and also which limit the amount of complex work done.

The AI content covered is very high level. The course neither covers the mathematical theory, or the programming application of AI.

My first experience with open courses. A rare chance to learn from the real masters -- Sebastian Thrun and Peter Norvig. Although, there were not much coding , the class was enjoyable and intellectually challenging.

  • It is a cool field. Here, machines try to mimic humans but with lesser or no mistakes. I learnt of the different branches of this field and also the various fields of applications ranging from banking, engineering, medicine to mention but a few. The future is AI. This cannot be debated.
