A fantastic introduction to genetics for beginners. If you've every struggled to understand the basics of genetics then this is the course for you. It was developed in collaboration with people at 23andMe, so a bonus is that you will be able to better understand the results of your personal genetics kit if you get one from 23andMe.
  • Very well done and not too demanding course about basics of genetics, especially explained on human genome. Although it was well explained and easily understandable, some tasks demanded good focus and thinking twice. I would greatly recommend it as the first online course for studying genetics.
  • One of the best courses. Any category. It was so much fun. Yes, it has a "fun with flag vibe"... but is it a bad thing? It's awesome.

This course is a good introduction to various aspects of genetics, with an emphasis on understanding personal genotype data as presented by 23andme. The instructors have a very engaging style that actually takes advantage of the format instead of being a video of a talking head, as some courses still are.

ties to 23andme was a little bit distracting but I assumed that might be the case going into the study
