本课程作为专业必修课程，依托成都师范学院国家级一流英语（师范）专业和校级、省级“本科一流课程”《演讲与辩论》建设成果，依据《教育部关于一流本科课程建设的实施意见》精神、《外国语言文学类教学质量国家标准》英语专业人才培养的标准，对接基础教育领域对英语教育人才的要求，将优秀中华传统文化与新时代“中国故事”相融合，以国内外时事热点为话题依托，为师范生创设教育教学情景中的思政演讲话题，培养学生的家国情怀，开拓学生的全球视野，成为具有“世界眼，中国心”的跨文化交流人才。
