Overview

Clinical Internal Medicine combining Chinese and Western Medicine is a new medical discipline with original advantages in China, developed under the specific context of integrating both Chinese and Western medical practices. This course adheres to the "Three Basics" principle, emphasizing basic theories, basic knowledge, and basic skills, while also focusing on the ideological, scientific, advanced, enlightening, and practical nature of the textbook content.

The book is divided into three parts: Introduction, Disease Diagnosis and Treatment, and Syndrome Diagnosis and Treatment. The Introduction mainly covers the origins, progress, and prospects of integrating Chinese and Western medicine, differences between Chinese and Western medicine, and the study methods of integrated internal medicine. The Disease Diagnosis and Treatment part is organized by diseases, discussing common and frequently occurring diseases of each system, highlighting the characteristics and advantages of integrated diagnosis and treatment, and focusing on developing students' clinical thinking abilities in combining disease and syndrome differentiation. The Syndrome Diagnosis and Treatment part selects 23 syndromes that have distinctive features in Chinese medicine but are difficult to classify under a specific disease. It discusses these syndromes in terms of overview, etiology and pathogenesis, disease differentiation, and syndrome differentiation and treatment, aiming to cultivate students' abilities in syndrome differentiation and clinical logical thinking.
