Chengdu University of TCM via XuetangX

Overview

Traditional Sports Health Preservation is a health preservation course with distinct Chinese characteristics. Its aim is to achieve unity of body and mind, cultivate both internal and external aspects, regulate qi and blood, prevent and treat diseases, and ultimately achieve longevity. This course integrates three major techniques: physical movement, breathing regulation, and self-massage, forming a systematic traditional Chinese health preservation art and physical therapy method. The course content is rich, covering well-known classic health preservation exercises such as Tai Chi, Baduanjin, and Guigong, as well as a series of prevention and treatment methods for common diseases.

Chinese traditional sports health preservation has a long history and rich connotations. Its features include simplicity and ease of learning, high safety, significant efficacy, and no restrictions based on age, gender, climate, or venue. Therefore, it is widely loved and recognized by the general public. The reason why traditional sports health preservation has endured and been highly regarded is mainly due to its wide applicability and remarkable effects in disease prevention and treatment. However, how to implement these health preservation methods more effectively, which diseases they are better at preventing and treating, and the mechanisms behind their disease prevention and treatment are not well understood by most people. In response to this situation, this course is specially designed. The course aims to teach safe and effective traditional sports health preservation exercise methods and improve the health level of practitioners.
