Overview
This course introduces Grade 9 students to physics related to motion in a straight line. Topics discussed include uniformly accelerated motion, velocity-time graphs, equations of uniformly accelerated motions, and relative velocity. Students will learn how to graphically represent the motion of an object and be able to use equations to represent and predict motion of an object. Besides understanding the basic concepts of motion, students will develop problem-solving skills applying the concepts to a variety of real-world contexts. Through mathematical and graphical analysis, students will be able to calculate information related to the motion of an object.
