Overview
This lecture is the second installment in the "Nonlinear Algebra for Physics" series delivered by Dmitrii Pavlov at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences. Explore advanced concepts in nonlinear algebra and their applications to theoretical physics as part of the "Positive Geometry in Scattering Amplitudes and Cosmological Correlators" program. The program brings together experts from mathematical aspects of scattering amplitudes and cosmology, examining connections between perturbative on-shell scattering amplitudes and cosmological correlators through positive geometry, positive Grassmannian, Associahedron, and the Amplituhedron. Organized by prominent physicists Nima Arkani-Hamed, Johannes Henn, Suvrat Raju, and Jaroslav Trnka, this lecture contributes to the ongoing effort to reformulate the perturbative S-matrix using novel principles and strengthen connections between seemingly different fields of theoretical physics.
