This course may be unavailable.

Overview

In this course, you will learn all of the major principles of microeconomics normally taught in a quarter or semester course to college undergraduates or MBA students.

Perhaps more importantly, you will also learn how to apply these principles to a wide variety of real world situations in both your personal and professional lives. In this way, the Power of Microeconomics will help you prosper in an increasingly competitive environment.

Note that this course is a companion to the Power of Macroeconomics. If you take both courses, you will learn all of the major principles normally taught in a year-long introductory economics college course.

  • I am a retired engineer and taking the course to learn something about Macroeconomics and "what makes the world turns." I am on Module-8 now. It is fast pace and very rich course. The content is high density with many technical terms to learn and keep in mind. Abbreviations of these terms add to the complexity of the content. I am learning a lot from the course, much more than I expected. It is not easy but I find it very useful.

Is there a set of notes for the course, references, literature recommended?
  • A nice overview of economics. There is a series of questions for each lecture that helps students keep pace with material as it's presented on video. This class is a good springboard for other business classes such as finance and accounting.
  • Really useful and brief.
Doctor Peter Navarro has made a great job doing this resume of economics.
Even though it might not be useful in your daily life, having a broad view of what micro economics is would be helpful.
    Totally recommended.

A nice overview of economics. A wonderful course, excellently delivered. Professor Bushee has clearly invested a significant amount of time developing the course, and it shows from the first video to the last
