What is TikTok Marketing?

TikTok is a video sharing social media platform developed primarily for mobile. Users can post 15-seconds to 3-minutes long, vertical videos. It prioritizes user engagement and educational content with a highly effective algorithm that specializes in their preferences accordingly, so it delivers very niche specific content.

This platform, like its counterparts, also displays ads; even so, they are all skippable. This is a challenge for advertisers who need to make content following the same trends and formats already available on the app to grab user’s attention. In that sense, TikTok Marketing is a branch of Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing applied for creating campaigns, ads, and content in the format of short videos to engage your audience and persuade them to take action.

The importance of developing a great marketing campaign involves multiple steps we hopefully will learn with the courses in this ranking. I am a heavy user of TikTok, and I can guarantee that rarely I come across well made ads. Usually they lack basic aspects I consider relevant for me, personally. For example, I can clearly see a professional production which triggers my “skip” instinct before I even have the chance to see if it is indeed an ad. After only a couple of weeks training the algorithm to my personal taste, I was completely hooked! TikTok Statistics

TikTok is the fastest growing social app and has changed the whole market; Instagram is now a video sharing platform and YouTube launched YT Shorts to compete with TikTok. This app is in exponential growth: in 2019 it had 381 million users, a year later 700 million, and it’s estimated that by the end of 2022 it will surpass 1.5 billion users.

My experience with TikTok and Digital Marketing

I took part in a couple of in-person digital marketing bootcamps back in 2018 and 2019. Since then, there’s been a big shift in the market with the launch of TikTok. I’ve been following the current trends and can confidently say that the courses in the list will help you deliver great results, even though they cost a fraction of a traditional workshop or nothing at all.
