The 7th edition of Learning with MOOCs (LWMOOCS VII) is taking place in Antigua, Guatemala from September 30th to October 2nd, 2020.

Learning with MOOCs is the flagship conference for the MOOC research community. A couple of years ago, the conference’s organization was taken over by IEEE Education Society. Being an IEEE conference, the proceedings are also published in IEEE Xplore™ as archival papers, posters and presentation slide sets to maximize the impact of each publication.

In odd years, the conference is hosted in the United States and elsewhere in the world during even years. This year’s hosts in Antigua are Universidad Galileo in collaboration with UNED and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

This year’s theme “The 4th Industrial Revolution: Challenges and Opportunities” invites both academic and industry experts to explore recent developments in the MOOC technologies.

The recently promoted Executive Director of Online Education & OMSCS at Georgia Tech David Joyner is one of the confirmed keynote speakers so far. OMSCS is the leading MOOC-based degree with over 9000 enrolled students and 2000+ graduates. David Joyner has been part of the program right from the beginning and will be sharing the lessons learnt.

Class Central will also be there. As in the previous two editions, our founder Dhawal Shah will again be sharing his observations and analysis of the MOOC industry.

The Call for Papers will be open on March 15th (Deadline is April 19th), welcoming submissions from various disciplines and topics. For more details, please check the conference proceedings.
