As in other years, at Class Central we are following interesting events on digital learning in 2020. For this reason, we have put together a list of interesting conferences around the world on online education to share with our community.

OLC Innovate

OLC Innovate – organised by the Open Learning Consortium – is the place to be for instructional designers and everyone working behind the scenes of online courses. This year’s theme will be about “Building Bridges in Digital, Blended, and Online Learning”.

Coursera Conference
April 21 – 22, 2020
Chicago, Illinois

Coursera invites its academic and industry partners annually to discuss current trends and challenges in the MOOC world. Moreover, the Coursera Leadership team presents Coursera’s vision for 2020. With 4556 courses on Class Central, Coursera currently leads the MOOC providers list worldwide. (This event is closed to non-partners.)

Open edX Conference
May 19 – 22, 2020

The Open edX conference is a meetup of community members who use Open edX, open source software for the edX platform and many other learning platforms. The conference brings together software developers and instructional designers, the busy people behind online courses.

Learning @ Scale 2020

At L@S the learning experience of students is placed in the center of scientific exchange. edX Global Forum
Fall 2020

EdX Global is the annual gathering of the edX partners network – a community that produces and shares courses on the edX platform. According to Class Central year in Review, edX reached 24 million learners in 2019, a good year to look back at. (This event is closed to non-partners.)

OEB Global
December 2 – 4, 2020
Berlin, Germany

OEB Global is one of the largest conferences on learning technologies in Europe. It is a great meetup for academics, entrepreneurs and investors.

      I don’t think eLearning Africa has announced what they’re doing this year. But either way, this wasn’t a comprehensive list.
