14 Open2Study courses to start on May 27th, plans to offer 48 courses by the end of 2013

Open2Study, an initiative by Open Universities Australia has announced a new round of courses starting on May 27th. The first round of offerings included 10 courses which started on April 22nd. In addition to the 10 original courses, 4 new courses would be offered on May 27. The new courses that will join the course lineup will include:

  • Data for Better Performance
  • Financial Literacy
  • Foundations of Psychology
  • Teaching Adult Learners

This takes the total courses offered to 14. Open2Study plans to offer 48 such courses by the end of 2013. Each course will last four weeks and will be run 10 times a year. Courses include options from management, nursing, education, advertising and others. Open2Study has partnered with a variety of other educational facilities including the International College of Management, Central Institute of Technology, Polytechnic West, Macquarie University, TAFE NSW, RMIT University and more.

According to stats shared by Open2Study with Class Central, they saw 100,000 visits from users in just the first 5 weeks of availability. This included visitors from over 150 countries. Current enrolled students from 118 different countries. In the first four weeks of the program there were a total of 12,764 enrollments. Of these enrollments, Of these enrollments, 72 percent were from Australia while 28 percent were from overseas. Open2Study has already secured 2535 enrollments for the next class session. The pattern of enrollments is evening out with a current 52 percent of students from Australia and 48 percent of students logging in from abroad.
