Understanding the UK's 2015 General Election

Written 3 years ago
I leave outside of UK and though being inerested in world politics, not so familiar with UK's inner dillemas. Such a way, he course was very interesting for me: very informative, exceptionally structured and somewhat easy. It gave a prety large perspecive on internal british affairs (but much less about political life iself).

Introduction to Recommender Systems

Written 3 years ago
An interesting, but a very massive course about Recommender Systems. Lections are very long, and even hough there is no "low information density", as was said before (I totally disagree wih this statement), part of the information could be throught out, regarding the introductionary level of the course.

Being a non-english speaker, I had to pass a long-long hours, lisening to the course, and this fact (and not the course's content) that made it "Hard". I would better call It "harrasing".

I took this course in order to have ability to choose the recommender structure for my site, that someone other is building, so I was not interesting in programming part (that is out in on-demand version). Such a way, I reached my goal by 100%. If I should build It by my-self, this course would be absolutely unsufficient.

Financial Markets

Written 3 years ago
A "too-introductionary" course, as I see It, with a very basic informations about a somewhat large number of topics. The course is not filmed specially for Coursera, but professor's lections for Yale students were just cut off and put on the site - I was very disappointed by such a treatment. As well, It resulted in a low efficiency of material presentation.

Professor himself was very good: ineresting and understoodable. Guests were interesting as well, and presented their special points of view for some topics.

(P.S.: I have BA in Economics and have got nothing, but guests opinions from this course)
