I have been looking into mindfulness and meditation for some years now, reading the work of Jon Kabatt-Zin, but also more spiritual oriented ones like The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle or OSHO's meditations. Most of the time, however, I found the information either too mystical and not specific enough, or I lacked some scientific information.
This course has a very practical and academic approach to the topic of mindfulness, which is exactly what I needed.
It helps you understand the purpose of mindfulness, the goals, establish a practice and understand the process. It clears up any haziness around if you're doing it right or wrong and answers the common questions one might be asking him self when practicing meditation or mindfulness. This course has helped establish motivation to have a routine of daily mindfulness practice and also to implement it in everyday life.
I enjoyed this course and also the follow up and I will be redoing it again to strengthen what I've learnt and to participate even more in the discussions with other students.
