Learning How to Learn: Powerful mental tools to help you master tough subjects

Written a year ago
Great course! After completing a three-course MOOC certificate earlier this year, I realized I needed help studying and retaining information. I learned about this course via The Odin Project, signed up the same day, and completed it within two weeks. I find the presentations, techniques, recommendations, and optional videos very helpful. I'm using the techniques to learn CSS and HTML. I took this class on Coursera and appreciate it being available for free.

HTML and CSS Syntax

Written a year ago
I enjoyed this course and learned a lot. I started it after completing the five-hour HTML and CSS module on Free Code Camp (FCC). Taking the Udacity syntax course after built on and explained certain concepts I didn't quite get with the FCC module. I also like that I learned some of the "whys" (Udacity) of HTML and CSS after the "hows" (FCC). That learning format goes against the grain for me, but it made retention much more effective. One of my favorite activities from the course was using DevTools to modify existing websites. I would recommend this course for beginners, especially those with non-tech backgrounds.
