The ALEKS learning technology is excellent: it is self-paced, personalized and helps you master the topics. This is the future of learning technology. I quit math aged 15, thinking I was not a 'math person'. Turns out I needed instruction and perseverance. The course starts where you are, so you can take it from a fairly rudimentary level and build from there, or join at a later stage if you show you already get some topics. It takes a long time to complete the course but it is worth it if you want to grasp college-level math and beat math anxiety or numeracy limitations. Free to study, EdX fee for verified certificate, college fee for credit. Whether I disburse for the later depends on my research on transferability.
  • I think this is a great course for those who dropped out Maths in high-school and feel in need of catching up with topics such as equations, functions, polynomials, logarithms and the like. The videos are very helpful, although I would recommend using the book as well, and the exercises really make you feel your making a progress. I strongly recommend this course.
  • This perhaps is the best online course I took. ALEKS is a dynamic and wonderful tool for learning Algebra.

I used to flunk math classes but with this course, in just 3 days I can do so much more algebra than I have ever learned in high school and college.
  • Not good I have tried to finish this sign up and all now I have not getting this thing is frustrating I can't take this thing any more
