Overview

Anatomy is commonly referred to as a subject that requires memorization and is known to be challenging, especially for medical and dental students, with a high volume of material. For the general public, it is often perceived as a subject with a high barrier to entry. However, the interest in our own bodies is not limited to medical or dental professionals; it can be seen as a fundamental interest of humanity itself. Furthermore, the practical applications of this knowledge in our daily lives are limitless.

This course is structured to make learning human anatomy as easy as possible for those who are either new to it or have a just small interest in the subject. It is designed to be easily understandable and engaging, even for individuals who are not medical, dental, or other biology-related majors.

We have made an effort to approach anatomy from various cultural, historical, and societal perspectives. In a total of 8 episodes, we introduce anatomical concepts, definitions, and directions, starting from planes and covering bones, muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and the brain in the head and neck region.

We also focus on the special sensory organs located in the face, including the eyes, nose, ears, and mouth, which start with the lips.

This course is quite unique in that it aims to lower the accessibility barrier to the study of anatomy for the general public by incorporating quotes from well-known individuals, historical figures, and anatomical techniques found in famous artworks.

Given the vast depth and breadth of the field of anatomy, this season of the course will primarily focus on the anatomy of the head and neck, with plans to cover other parts of the body in future series. If you have an interest in your body, I highly recommend taking this course and enjoying it.
