Class Central Tips

This specialization is intended for public health and healthcare professionals, researchers, data analysts, social workers, and others who need a comprehensive concepts-centric biostatistics primer. Those who complete the specialization will be able to read and respond to the scientific literature, including the Methods and Results sections, in public health, medicine, biological science, and related fields. This Course Specialization allowed me to tie loose ends on commonly-encountered biostatistics topics for use in research and teaching. While there are typographical issues and "remnants" of the previous incarnations of the material, I find all of these forgivable. Dr. McGready did a great job in explaining the step-by-step processes of the statistical techniques covered. However, do not expect that this course will teach you any statistical software, as the number-crunching step was intentionally omitted to focus on the concepts rather than on the scut work.

A great course and wonderful teacher, Very clear and packed full of insight and examples. Very condensed and lots of detail but if you stick to it, it can explain a lot of things other courses do not. Really top notch.
