What Does the Network Fundamentals Course Entail?

This beginner-level Networking Fundamentals training course covers the concepts IT professionals need to begin their careers. It is a great starting point for anyone interested in learning entry-level networking skills and concepts. The course includes a complete overview of wired and wireless computer networks, devices, and protocols. By the end of this course, learners will have a complete understanding of all the up-to-date terminology in network security. Additionally, they should be able to:

  • Show ability to operate network equipment, including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware.
  • Configure and optimize network hubs, routers, and switches (e.g., higher-level protocols, tunneling).
  • Understand the capabilities and applications of network equipment, including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware.
  • Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software (e.g., IOS, firmware).
  • Implement and test network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.
  • Install or replace network hubs, routers, and switches.
  • Provide feedback on network requirements, including network architecture and infrastructure.

The total course time for the Network Fundamentals training is one hour and 26 minutes, for which learners will receive two CEU/CPE and a Certificate of Completion.
