Oil painting dates back to the 7th century and is steeped in thousands of years of tradition. Anetta Lukjanova is a visual artist who skillfully marries the style of old masters with contemporary subjects and digital tools. She works from photos, which she edits to add dynamism. Anetta specializes in figurative realism and has worked with Sealife Helsinki, mural producers UPEArt and B-murals, musicians Vesta and Jukio Kallio, and festivals such as Stenograffia and Spraykancontrol.

In this online course, produce an expressive portrait with oil paint. Anetta breaks down the process behind painting in a realistic style and takes you through exercises to develop your personal approach and apply it on the canvas. You also learn to incorporate digital tools into your practice.
