About our presenter:
Dr. Alex Gifford graduated from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine, Chief Residency, and fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at DHMC. Dr. Gifford directs the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at Dartmouth-Hitchcock has been the recipient of several career development grants from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Dr. Gifford has sought to understand the clinical ramifications of abnormal iron homeostasis in people with cystic fibrosis, including how those abnormalities are associated with CFTR dysfunction, iron deficiency, anemia, and chronic lung infections.

About our presenter:
Dr. Suzannah Luft is currently a 3rd year Gastroenterology fellow with interests in general gastroenterology, liver disease, and obesity. She completed medical school at Dartmouth and Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital where she served as a hospitalist and ran a hepatitis C clinic prior to returning to DHMC for fellowship. She will be joining the DH-Keene GI department starting this summer.

About our presenter:
Dr. Marcus Shaker is a Professor of Pediatrics and of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Shaker attended medical school and completed his Pediatrics residency at the University of Virginia, and remained in Charlottesville for his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology. Dr. Shaker’s research interests center around optimizing value-based care in allergy and clinical immunology.
Rongxiao Zhang, PhD
Al-Powered MR-guided Radiation Therapy
About our presenter:
Dr. Rongxiao Zhang completed his PhD in physics at Dartmouth, imaging the first veterinary and human images of Cherenkov in external beam radiation therapy and going on to demonstrate how to achieve chemical sensing. After completing the Harvard Medical Physics Residency Program in 2018, he joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. He was recently recruited as a Clinical Physicist II at the Geisel School of Medicine and Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health, with a focus on MRI-guided radiation therapy and the Medical Physics residency program. He is committed to being a medical physicist who leads on clinical and translational research and implements scientific discoveries in clinical practice to ensure and continuously improve the quality of radiation therapy.

New Hampshire Colonoscopy Registry: Using Population Based Data to Optimize CRC Prevention with Colonoscopy
About our presenters:
Dr. Lynn Butterly is a graduate of Harvard Medical School and completed her internship, residency, and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Colorectal Cancer Screening for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She is the Principal Investigator for the New Hampshire Colonoscopy Registry, an NCI-funded statewide, population-based registry collecting longitudinal data on all aspects of screening and surveillance colonoscopy, and for the CDC-funded New Hampshire Colorectal Cancer Screening Program.
Dr. Joseph Anderson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in engineering, and received his MD degree from the Mount Sinai Medical School. He completed his residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Stony Brook University where he joined the tenured staff. He has been on faculty at the University of Connecticut since 2007 where he is an Associate Professor and continues to collaborate with UConn faculty and lectures students and trainees. In 2011 he joined the Geisel faculty and the clinical staff at the White River Junction VA, and he serves as Chair of the WRJVA Research and Development Committee.
