Signals and Systems

Massachusetts Institute of Technology via MIT OpenCourseWare

6.003 covers the fundamentals of signal and system analysis, focusing on representations of discrete-time and continuous-time signals (singularity functions, complex exponentials and geometrics, Fourier representations, Laplace and Z transforms, sampling) and representations of linear, time-invariant systems (difference and differential equations, block diagrams, system functions, poles and zeros, convolution, impulse and step responses, frequency responses). Applications are drawn broadly from engineering and physics, including feedback and control, communications, and signal processing.

  • I find it to be of very great insight and a wonderful opportunity to achieve academic competence. The known gathered from these courses are extremely outstanding and mind blowing. Signals and systems have been fundamentally simplified as well as z transforms and Laplace transform for all who needs it. This is a great feat of academic prowess and the concepts are indeed awesome, simplified and well defined.
  • I have been learning from this summer and it has been a great experience. He is a very thoughtful teacher who puts a lot of thought into how he presents the material. His lessons were engaging, useful, and he was very patient with everyone in class always encouraging his students to try. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning
