This presentation is a recording of a Stanford Pediatric Grand Rounds Session. World-renowned experts will present the latest research, practice guidelines, and treatment protocols to advance best practices in the care of pediatric patients. These online recordings will provide pediatricians and family physicians with up-to-date clinical information on a wide range of clinical issues encountered in daily pediatric practice.
The SARS-CoV2 virus and related COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in shutdown of schools and work places throughout the world. However, fundamental adherence to public health practices designed to mitigate infection are reasonably well-known and can be implemented both in school and the workplace. We will review what is known about COVID-19 epidemiology with a focus on pediatrics, including what we currently understand about the delta and omicron variants, the current efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines, and where we still have knowledge gaps.
