Good wireless network engineers need to understand how wireless clients roam throughout an infrastructure. In this course, Designing Cisco Wireless Networks: Mobility, you'll learn how wireless clients roam, the situations which must be considered, and how to design a wireless infrastructure for seamless roaming. First, you'll learn about the differences between layer 2 and layer 3 roaming. Next, you'll learn about how to configure mobility groups, and the benefits and prerequisites for it. Finally, you'll learn how to properly design your wireless cells to provide a quality environment for roaming clients, and utilize IEEE standards to enhance the experience. When you're finished with this course, you'll have the skills and knowledge of wireless roaming needed to ensure mobile clients will never drop a packet. Software required: none.
