This course provides an in-depth introduction to working with the Db2 relational database. Throughout the course, students will develop a technical understanding of how to use SQL and the Db2 environment. The topics covered include data structures and data types, creating and dropping tables, inserting data, selecting data, updating data, deleting data, one-to-one and one-to-many relationships, many-to-many relationships, First, Second, and Third Normal Form, entity integrity, referential integrity, domain integrity and constraints. By the end of the course, students will have developed a working knowledge of the SQL language, basics of relational databases and the Db2 environment needed to start using Db2 in the real world.
