Overview

This Investing Basics: Fundamental Analysis course provides the basics and more for beginning stock investors. Through this course, learners will understand what fundamental analysis is and how to buy stock in 4 steps for different types of investors. They will learn about financial statements and stock valuation by exploring U.S. automakers and tech companies, as well as by learning how to decode earnings estimates. Through working with thinkorswim® and learning how to invest with a plan, they will explore how to determine the intrinsic value of a stock using several financial ratios including the P/E ratio, the P/S ratio, the PEG and PEGY ratios, and the EV/EBITDA ratio. Finally, learners will read a balance sheet, analyze dividend stocks with the dividend yield, and use the earnings analysis tab.
