This course aims to advance the science of arts, health, and wellbeing by partnering science, the arts, and technology. The learning outcomes include understanding how arts and aesthetic experiences can measurably change the body, brain, and behavior, and translating this knowledge into practices that promote health and wellbeing. The course teaches about the NeuroArts Blueprint, a five-year plan and long-term vision for a mature neuroarts ecosystem. The teaching method involves presentations by experts from Johns Hopkins University, the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, and other organizations. This course is intended for individuals interested in the intersection of arts, health, and science, as well as those looking to promote culture change and community strength through the arts.
