Overview

This course focuses on everything related to Polity and Governance for the UPSC Mains IAS exam. It covers the evolution and philosophy of the Indian Constitution, highlights its salient features, and details the amending process and basic structure. It also covers the fundamental rights, DPSP/Duties and Federalism issues. This includes examining both the legislature and local self-governments, as well as the Union and State executive and Judiciary. It offers a deep analysis of the RPA and Electoral reforms initiatives, as well as an overview of Political Science and International Relations (PSIR) for the Optional Course Target in 2020. There will be a discussion and analysis of the UPSC Mains 2019 GS2 paper, as well as a detailed statement analysis and structure lesson pertaining to ‘Man is a Political Animal’. Towards the end of the course, it also dives into two current affairs topics: Inner Line Permit and its demand for removal in Uttarakhand.
