Overview
This course aims to explore the usability of five common two-factor authentication (2FA) methods through a two-week usability study with 72 participants. The course covers the importance of 2FA in enhancing account security and evaluates the usability of different 2FA methods through quantitative and qualitative data collection. Participants will learn about the setup procedures, individual learnability, soft scores, and usability results of the studied methods. The teaching method involves a combination of simulated tasks on a banking website and a within-subjects laboratory study. This course is intended for individuals interested in understanding the usability aspects of 2FA methods and enhancing the security of their online accounts.
